New User / New Brewer

Sun Jan 20, 2013 9:28 pm

OK, not completely new. I have equipment, and have brewed 2 batches from Malt Extract kits. One was successful - an Irish red Ale - and the other not successful - A sumer Ale (intended to be similar to a Sam summer). Came out with a heavy clove style aftertaste. Drank 3 bottles and dumped the rest.

I have an Octoberfest fermenting now (yeah, I tend to drag my feet a bit). Also a Red ale ready to brew after that.

So, any tips or advice will be appreciated.
