I love beer. Its about time I started making it, just curious I know the Egyptians brewed beer, what is the oldest beer recipe known to mankind?

I also want to know what is the cheapest method of brewing beer without using plastic containers?

How hard is it to go GMO free?

Where can I score the best hops, and how hard are they to grow.

Anyone ever use essential oils in beer such as sandalwood for example?

Found this forum looking into making a Honey mushroom beer.

Right now I am a Ranger India Pale Ale Fan.

So excited about this new adventure. My Neighbor and I want to really start taking this hobby seriously, I figured what better place to start than at a Beer forum. Glad to be here and cheers~!!

Welcome-

You are in the right place.
I'll second John Palmer's book How to Brew as a must read for any newbie homebrewer.
(The 3rd edition is in print, but the first edition is online for free at http://www.howtobrew.com)
Read the online one while you wait for the print version. (The updates are very much worth it!)

HTH-

Good luck, both of those sound disgusting to me.
