OK to put CO2 tank in the Chest Freezer?

Mon May 15, 2006 10:57 am

Just wondering if it's ok to keep the CO2 tank inside the Chest Freezer at about 35-40 degrees?

Thanks! :aaron2

Oh yeah, and if it's an older tank check the date stamp for the last time it was inspected. My LHBS does a trade-in service like propane and the last one they tried to give me was about a year overdue for inspection.

I was bored and semi-drunk, and I thought that bub needed a few smartass remarks from me.

co2 in freezer

it is fine to put the co2 tank in there. Be aware that the pressure gauge will show less air at a lower temperature. Luffa sent an awsome linke in another post. at about 40 degrees the pressure shows about 560 pounds if i remember correctly.
