I was changing the lines last night on my IPA keg last night. I guess it was not all the way in. When I checked on my kegorator in the morning I had 4 gallons of IPA sitting on the floor. The stuff was so yummy I wanted to get a long straw!

Condolences, dude. I know how you feel.

I once closed my chest freezer and pinched a serving line right where it comes out of the QD. the sharp edge of the barb split the line and put 5 gallons of beer in the bottom of the freezer with the lobster juice and bait drippings. almost cried as it poured out the drain and into the sea....

Been there done that, didn't tighten a fitting on the ball lock, Cherry wood smoked wheat all over the floor in the garage.

I dont know which is worse, loosing the beer or all the co2 from the tank i had filled two days before.

Does anyone else have problems getting the ball lock on all the way all the time or removing them when their on? Some of them slide of nice and easy but others I have a hard time getting on and off. Anyone know a nice fix for this? Ive been using the plastic ball lock with Lubrifilm.

Whenever I have problems with the ball locks sticking, I just disassemble them and clean them. They work great for another 5 or 6 months. If your liquid poppet leaks a little, a bit of beer gets into the QD and gums things up.

Sunken Bier it sounds like you have posts mixed up on your tanks. Only gas disconnects fit well over gas in posts and vice versa for the liquid side. If you look at the posts on the kegs you will notice a slight difference in lower lip.

I would definitly say loosing the beer would have been worse unless you had some monster of a CO2 tank (100lb?). Been there done that (never 4 gallons though)! Always tempting to just drop to all fours and start lapping it up! All that work down the drain! Damn I'm making myself depressed!
