Hoff-Stevens kegs. Anyone using them?

Tue Sep 05, 2006 4:33 pm

Was at the local scrapyard today and pick up a 1/4 barrel Hoff-Stevens keg.

Anyone use these things? I understand the H/S twin dip style is somewhat a pain in the arse. I though I might try to convert this thing to use a cask type beer engine, and prime condition in it.

Any thoughts?

We stock H-S parts at Steinbart's for those who suffer from nostalgia :) So drop us a line, and we'll be sure to be able to get you those pesky little parts that you may need like tavern heads, gas, and line feeds. Better to use as a real beer barrel, and not try to convert to cask style pumps (read VERY expensive) which would be a REAL PITA. Other than that, I can't think of anything else about them atm. Good luck, Rich, and ILBCNUL8R!

Prost!
