Name that style

Thu Feb 23, 2006 8:40 am

I have this recipie, and I was wondering what style it fits in.

16lbs. American 2 Row
2.5lbs. Caramunich 80L
1.1lb Chocolate Malt
5oz. Black Patent

4lb Buckwheat Honey

.55oz Magnum Pellet (60 min)
2oz Liberty (5 min)
2oz Northern Brewer (1 min)

WLP002

I guess it would be a black honey ale. But where to put it.
My guess would be specialty?
Thanks!

Without tasting it, it is hard to be certain. However, there probably won't be much flavor from the honey (espcially against the hops and dark malts). I'd say it will best fit in the American Brown Ale category.
I hope my post helped in some way. If not, please feel free to contact me.

I think I left out that this was 10 gallons, but Jamil probably figured.
I did try it. I definiately has a slight honey taste to it.
Thanks for the direction.
