I'd love to brew this. This is part of a single hop series so I'm sure that's it's all the same recipe. Or are they?
Anyway anyone have any suggestions? I want to show case these hops for a Aussie friend. It's doesn't seem like the malt takes a backseat.
Also I've been reading the reviews on BA, I read a lot of pine or citrus notes which are 1) divergent and 2) not what I've read when researching the hops. I get the wine/floral/fruity qualities that I read about.

I have not had the Mikkeller beer, but I have used Nelson Sauvin in a single hopped lager that we called Full Nelson. Just like Bohemian Pilsener showcases Czech Saaz, we thought a simple pilsner would do the same with the NS hops. The beer turned out great, nice firm bitterness and all of that white wine/grape character in the aroma and flavor. It took gold in the specialty beer category of a local competition a couple of years ago. It really did showcase that hop quite well.

67% pilsner malt
11% Cara-Crystal
11% Munich II
11% Flaked Oats
I don't know my grains that well - does the Munich seem okay? As in type, or do they mean as a base? And would I pick the crystal last and pick the proper L to adjust color?
11.50 lb Pilsner (2 Row) UK (1.0 SRM) Grain 68.05 %
1.80 lb Cara-Munich Malt II (45.0 SRM) Grain 10.65 %
1.80 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 10.65 %
1.80 lb Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 10.65 %
2.00 oz Nelson Sauvin [11.00 %] (Dry Hop 3 days) Hops -
1.50 oz Nelson Sauvin [11.00 %] (60 min) Hops 44.5 IBU
2.00 oz Nelson Sauvin [11.00 %] (20 min) Hops 36.0 IBU
I guess it's hard if you never has the beer. But I just want a base recipe to showcase the hops. Maybe I should use one of the BCS recipe.

A friend of mine brewed this one and it turned out awesome. I think he has recently just brewed it again. I will have to taste that one for sure. The first one was up there with the best homebrewed IPAs I have had.

I have brewed the recipe as my first ever beer 18 months ago. It turned out great. Mikkel provided the recipe for a Danish book on homebrewing for beginners.
The recipe in the book used Northern Brewer for bittering and Amarillo as aroma and taste. I dry hopped it as well.
The single hop series are all hopped to the same IBU.
I just bought his yeast series, but haven't tastet them yet. Looking forward to it.

i was just looking at this again as i want to start doing some single hop ipa's myself and the Mikkeller series has received good reviews.
he states that the hopping is done at 60, 15, whirlpool and dry. I'm thinking i will move the 60 to 90, 15 to 30 and the whirlpool to 15 since i don't generally do a whirlpool. seems like on some of the cybi shows they do a similar change to production breweries hopping schedule to reproduce on a homebrew level.
i've also contacted whitelabs about blending the 099 strain with 001.
i will shoot for a 1.065 og and 80% attenuation which would put the beer at 6.9% abv.
i'll mash at 149F for 75min since i know he uses this profile on his all others pale recipe.
