Smoked and Oaked Porter for the wife...

Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:36 am

Im looking at doing a smoked/oaked porter for the wife. Not a clone of Stone Smoked Porter...but a nice stand alone smoked porter with some oak added. Anybody with experience on the style have any tidbits of advice on this recipe? Thanks!

I personally would go with Maris Otter rather than the pilsner, but you goes with what you got.

It looks tasty. I have some german smoked (Bamburg) malt that is going into a recipe just like this.
