In the "User Control Panel" under "Board Preferences" you can manage "Friends & Foes". If you no longer want to see villiam's post at all simply add his name to the list of Foes and he will magically disappear. Best way to deal with trolls.

Yes, it won't hurt, but you have to leave the fermenter open so the cool air in the refrigerator can get to the wort, and the contracting air mass doesn't suck your airlock liquid into the beer.

I'd feel safe putting my kettle in there, with the lid on it, to bring down the temps prior to transferring to a carboy, as well. Of course, the longer you leave your wort before you pitch your yeast, the longer you risk some other bad guy establishing dominance in there, but covered for an hour more in the fridge shouldn't pose any significant problems.

Alright! It sounds like we have a new "condition for new forum users" -

1) Welcome to the inanity
2) Watch out for Bub
3) Add Villiam to your Foes list

Brilliant!
