Gonna try Wyeast Pacman.

Sun Sep 27, 2009 3:54 pm

I snagged a Wyeast Pacman Activator from Austin Homebrew last week. I'm gonna slant it and try it out on my usual ale styles (American APA, American IPA, IIPA etc).

I understand that it likes a lot of O2 and high pitch rates. Are there any other quirks I should be aware of?

I've been using White Labs WLP-001 for the last year and am very happy with it. Just looking to broaden my yeast horizons.

That has not been my experience. I think it takes more abuse than 1056 or 001 does. I proceed as normal with the strain.
