South Wales, Just outside Cardiff.

This brew is still fermenting along nicely, will leave it until next weekend and then bottle it, it should have 2-3 weeks in the bottle before it gets sampled :) - a bit early but I like my beer
Cheers,
Colin

BrotherMalice,

Welcome to this stuff. My brew day is 6 hrs for my setup too. I am in New South Wales so I guess that makes me younger than you. Try to have a go at the live shows and the chat, it really is a great concept.

love

My day seem to run between 5 and 6 hours. I don't count the purge on the water filter, and filling the HLT. I clock it from flame on the HLT. I ususally purge my filter into the HLT, run some star san into that, then through the system, then into my tool bucket.
I also try to do a lot of my cleaning during mash and boil. Hate cleaning hot break the next morning.
I run my IC water through a pre-chiller, then run ice water, so that cuts some time. I am thinking about going with a hot whirlpool though, just to see what it does on a small scale.

Cheers
Scot
